ISLAM JARAN

About me

Islam Jaran is a violinist and music educator from Jordan, now based in Copenhagen, Denmark. He began his professional music journey early, graduating from the Jordan Academy of Music with a focus on violin and music education. He later studied at the National Conservatory of Music and the Institute of Fine Arts, where he deepened his knowledge of both classical and Arabic music.

In addition to teaching music at various schools in Denmark and abroad, Islam is the founder and artistic leader of the Nordic Arabic Orchestra — a unique project that brings together musicians from different backgrounds to explore the meeting point between Arabic music and Nordic sound traditions.

As a performer, Islam has taken part in concerts, festivals, and musical collaborations around the world. His artistic work blends traditional Arabic music with modern influences, creating a sound that is deeply rooted, yet constantly evolving.

His passion lies in performing and producing original music, inspired by Middle Eastern classics, and shaped by personal expression and cultural storytelling.
